For our second project, I worked on five different "drawing" explorations. Part 1 was drawing on an object in an unconventional way. For this, I gathered a bunch of different types of leaves, and sewed them together into an approximation of the floor plan of my home. This was in response to a question from Paul Thek's
Teaching Notes, which asks, "How many rooms are there in your home?" The answer is 8 or 9, depending on if you count the hallway or not. After sewing together the outline of my home, I added smaller leaves to show the inside walls. Then, I mixed some light blue paint, covered the leaves, and made a monoprint.

For Part 2, I created four smaller experimental drawings:
- A series of images from magazines over which I placed magnet poetry of my own creation
- A box with paper and pens for students to draw pictures and place inside, located for a week in Westmont's library
- A Starbucks mug I recreated with paper stamped with the letters "STARBUCKSMUG"
- A series of three lists, each composed of all the combinations of the parts of two compound words

Overall, I really enjoyed this project and thinking creatively about what "drawing" can be, in all of its many forms.
